What has beauty taught you about self-esteem and happiness?
Real change doesn’t always begin in front of the mirror; often it begins in the mind. Hair is a tool for transformation, but self-esteem is the true result. When a woman feels powerful, confident and happy, no trend can top that.
What does success mean to you as a Latino?
Success is waking up every day doing what I love. Behind what the public sees are hard work, discipline and moments when I had to believe in myself when others didn’t. We come from a culture that dreams big and knows how to get back up.
What do you want your legacy to be?
My ability to inspire. Red carpets are moments; the real legacy is the people you touch. I’d love for someone to say, “Julián didn’t just transform my hair; he transformed the way I saw myself.”

Where should someone start to elevate their image?
Stop asking what’s in style and ask what you want to project. You don’t need a radical makeover: a great cut, a strategic color, luminous skin and the right attitude change everything.
What trends are coming this fall?
Warm, multidimensional tones — chocolate, caramel, refined coppers and creamy blondes — with soft layers and natural textures. In makeup, luminous skin and deeper lips. But what excites me most is personalized beauty. Because fashion changes… but style endures.
