The restaurant’s new chapter is led by Erasmo Da Silva, the entrepreneur behind Da Silva Hospitality Group, which also owns Coral Gables favorite Zucca and the soon-to-open Italian food hall Zuccaly at The Plaza Coral Gables. The relaunch carries a sharper culinary identity, a more polished approach to service, and a menu designed around one central promise: premium meats, done with integrity and fire-driven precision.
To elevate the concept, Da Silva Hospitality Group consulted with Argentina’s Corte Comedor, recognized by the Michelin Guide, bringing world-class grilling knowledge into the kitchen. Still, Hereford Grill never feels like it’s trying to be anyone else. It’s a steakhouse with its own distinct character—confident, warm, and rooted in experience.
“At Hereford Grill, we serve only the finest, responsibly sourced cuts of steak and prime meats—carefully selected for quality, traceability, and sustainability,” says Da Silva. “Every piece on our wood-fire grill reflects our commitment to authentic, flavorful steakhouse dining.”
Located once again at 782 NW 42nd Avenue (Le Jeune Road), the restaurant has been reimagined as a stylish 144-seat indoor/outdoor space anchored by a greenery-framed bar and a welcoming glow that invites you to linger. The ambiance is upscale enough for a celebration, yet relaxed and perfect for a spontaneous midweek dinner. Upstairs, the restaurant also features a private events space accommodating up to 95 guests, ideal for corporate dinners and special occasions.
At the center of the menu is The Butcher’s Table, Hereford Grill’s signature selection of sustainably raised, hormone-free premium cuts prepared using a precise combination of wood-fired and charcoal grilling. For steak lovers, it’s the kind of lineup that makes ordering feel personal. Cuts include Wagyu Denver and New York Steaks from Snake River Farms, along with selections from Niman Ranch, plus a grass-fed Boneless Rib Eye, a Certified Angus Rib Eye Cap, and rotating bone-in showpieces like the Porterhouse and Tomahawk Cowboy.
And while the steaks are clearly the headline, what makes Hereford Grill feel especially relevant in today’s Miami dining scene is the personality behind the menu—the way it blends steakhouse tradition with international influence.
One standout moment is the Filet Mignon, made even more indulgent with a classic Béarnaise sauce, while the kitchen also nods to Latin flavor traditions with “Guasacaca”, a Venezuelan-style sauce often described as a herb-forward cousin to chimichurri, bringing brightness and depth in every bite.
The sides are far from an afterthought. Case in point: asparagus finished with Alfredo sauce, an unexpectedly rich pairing that lands squarely in comfort-food territory—perfect alongside grilled meats.
For starters, the croquettes are the kind of bite you remember after the meal is over—golden on the outside, creamy within—brought to life by a Spanish-style pimentón sauce that adds smoky depth and a savory finish.
Beyond those highlights, the à la carte selections continue the restaurant’s global point of view, with dishes like Grass-Fed Beef Tartare with sweet potato strings, decadent Lobster Mac ‘n’ Cheese, and a signature tableside Caesar Salad prepared with baby gem lettuce. Entrées like Grilled Branzino and Potato Gnocchi add balance for diners who want something beyond beef, while longtime fans will appreciate the return of Hereford Grill classics, including Mixed Arepas, a Sweet Plantain Roll filled with white cheese, Short Rib Croquettes, Tequeños served with Papelón and passion fruit, and Congri that gives it that Latin flair.
Desserts are made in-house as well, with sweet finales like Flambéed Pancakes with Dulce de Leche, a flourless Chocolate Nemesis Cake, Basque Cheesecake, and a beloved Tres Leches Cake.
Hereford Grill is back with serious momentum: within just two months of opening, it earned its first Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, recognizing the depth and pairing power of its globally curated wine list.
They also bring a lively rhythm to the week with themed experiences that give locals every reason to return: a daily Happy Hour, Two-for-One Tuesdays with all-day drink specials, Unwind Wednesdays with 20% off select wines, and Sounds of Thursday, a romantic evening elevated by curated music. Saturdays spotlight the signature Butcher’s Menu for Two, featuring tableside Caesar salad, a dramatic 50-ounce Certified Black Angus Tomahawk, elevated sides, and Tres Leches for dessert.
Hereford Grill truly delivers for steak lovers—beautiful cuts, real fire technique, and a South American flair that perfectly suits Miami.
