There are doctors who treat conditions, and there are doctors who change lives. Dr. Mark S. Denker belongs firmly in the second category — though he would probably just call it Tuesday.
For more than 35 years, the reproductive endocrinologist and founder of Palm Beach Fertility Center has been rewriting what’s possible for couples and individuals told that parenthood was out of reach. Many come to him after failed IVF cycles and closed doors elsewhere. And more often than not, he finds a way.

His path began with a sixth-grade report that nearly got him in trouble. Fascinated by DNA and human reproduction, he prepared a presentation on the exponential spread of sexually transmitted diseases. The night before, his mother told him it wasn’t happening.
The year was 1969. The instinct was already there.
That boyhood obsession became a life’s work. “As I learned how these parts of DNA recombined to form an infinitely variable possibility for a new individual,” he says, “I became fascinated by the process.”
He graduated from Baylor College of Medicine in 1988 and founded Palm Beach Fertility Center in 1994 on a principle that still defines his practice: cutting-edge technology should be personal, not clinical.
He developed the Estrogen Androgen Priming Protocol, a breakthrough that dramatically improved pregnancy rates for poor responders — patients other clinics had given up on. U.S. News & World Report named him a Top Doctor in 2006 and 2011, a peer-nominated honor that places him among fewer than 300 reproductive endocrinologists nationwide.
His practice covers IVF, surrogacy, egg freezing, advanced genetic testing, and fertility treatment for both men and women, including LGBTQ+ families.

“If everything comes back normal, that person can be reassured that nothing is wrong — which eases their anxiety and empowers them to move forward naturally,” he explains. And if something is found, “we are now in a proactively advantageous position to address it, make corrections, and help them move toward their family goals.”
