It was a vibrant night of like-minded individuals coming together to support a noble cause, as The Desai Foundation celebrated Holi in Miami, with it being the first time hosted in Miami on Friday, March 1 at the Sagamore Hotel.
The fusion of cultures was witnessed as the South Asian community in Miami came together to celebrate and share the spirit of Holi, a significant Hindu festival celebrated as the Festival of Colors, Love, and Spring. Attendees were able to flaunt their Desi best without the concern of colorful stains, thanks to a specially designed installation from Kulture Khazana, where colors were unleashed without leaving a trace on clothes.
The evening was hosted by President of the Desai Foundation Megha Desai, who gave a speech working towards empowering women and children in rural India.
The night offered an open bar with liquor and wine from Naidu Wines, and dinner by Moksha Indian Brasserie. DJ O Fresh, the electrifying artist from the heart of New York City, set the stage on fire with his innovative fusion mashups. Guests captured the dynamic colors, energetic dances, and the sense of community that defined the event. Notable guests include Family Karma’s Kalpna Patel, Richa Sadana, Niraj Mehta, Indian Matchmaking’s Arti Lalwani, Founder & CEO of The Social Club Scott Clary, CEO of Skin Dossier Sindhya Valloppillil, CEO of Hinduja Bank Karam Hinduja, and Co-Founder, President and CEO of Mixfit Inc Reza Zanjani.
