In our practice we focus very seriously on preventive medicine. A Doctor of Oriental Medicine can identify with great precision, through simple observation alone, whether you have a predisposition to cancer or whether any organ is out of balance.

However, simple observation is not the only method we use. In addition to conventional tests such as ultrasounds, MRIs, and blood work, we employ highly effective tools like thermography.

This is a non-invasive method that makes it possible to identify areas of the body being affected, revealing temperature changes associated with inflammation, possible blockages in the lymphatic system, or alterations in organs and glands. Another very useful method is the food sensitivity test, performed from a blood analysis. This test identifies the foods that trigger allergic reactions and makes it possible to determine whether the gut flora has been compromised, either by uncontrolled candida growth or by bacteria that affect the cellular structure of the intestinal tissue.

In this way, we can help prevent future diseases such as cancer, dementia, Parkinson’s, irritable bowel syndrome, and many other gastrointestinal and abdominal conditions. This test also helps us determine whether there is a risk of leaky gut syndrome or whether the intestinal barriers have already been compromised. When that happens, food particles can enter the bloodstream and trigger an autoimmune response, leading to progressive and significant deterioration of health.

Through the use of acupuncture, herbs, homeopathy, and other medical modalities, the balance of your body and mind can be strengthened.

Something very important: your health, your thinking, and your emotional balance depend greatly on what you consume as food. For example, alcohol causes inflammation in the intestines and, if an imbalance in the gut flora or tissue permeability already exists, the damage will be even greater. It is worth mentioning that alcohol contains ethanol, a carcinogenic substance.

Another example is consuming foods identified in the sensitivity test as causing allergic reactions. Every time you eat them, your liver releases cortisone, which can influence your stress levels and sugar production, directly affecting the pancreas. This triggers a chain reaction that disrupts the microbiota, generates inflammation, and weakens your immune system, your main defense against diseases caused by external agents or internal imbalances. These imbalances can significantly impact your DNA and mitochondrial function at the cellular level, contributing to the development of chronic diseases, including cancer.

Preventive medicine uses effective, non-invasive methods to help you enjoy a fuller life. Without good health, no wisdom can be fully expressed, and art, physical energy, and emotional intelligence cannot reach their best; even wealth loses its meaning. In other words, your greatest treasure in this life is your health, and we are here to help you care for it.
