Hermosa. Multicultural y cosmopolita, Curaçao está ubicada al sur del Caribe, cerca de la costa de Venezuela y el que la visita se encontrará con una diversa cultura y colorida arquitectura muy diferente a las otras islas del Caribe. Es una encantadora fusión Holandesa y Caribeña.
En Curacao pueden descubrir alrededor de 35 hermosas playas, muchas son privadas y rusticas con aguas impresionantemente cristalinas, y otras con bellas arenas blancas típicas Caribeñas, pero Curaçao tiene mucho más que ofrecerles además de sus playas. Desde aventuras acuáticas, paseos en submarino, buceo, nadar con los delfines, y aventurar por los senderos y las cuevas hermosas– hay mucho que hacer para los aficionados de la naturaleza. Para los amantes de la cultura, encontraran museos, fortalezas, plantaciones, viñedos y hasta jardines botánicos de hierbas medicinales.

Su pintoresca capital Willemstad, al estilo Europeo, fue catalogada como Patrimonio Mundial por la UNESCO. Aquí también se encuentra un distintivo puente flotante que conecta las dos ciudades-Punda y Otrobanda, donde encontraran tiendas libres de impuesto para sus compras de joyas, electrónicas y perfumes.

Una de las mejores vistas la puedan disfrutar desde el restaurante La Bahía en el hotel Otrobanda. Te sentirás como si estuvieras en Holanda pero con las brisas cálidas caribeñas–un ambiente totalmente diferente…
También hay casinos para los amantes del juego y restaurantes para todos los gustos y presupuestos.
Su vibrante vida nocturna es alegre y diversa-desde música latina, jazz y música ritmo- (una mezcla de merengue, salsa y soca, música europea e internacional). Hay algo para todos los gustos desde sitios nocturnos elegantes, barras Holandesas divertidas y otras alineadas alrededor de la playa. Aquí la gente definitivamente sabe divertirse. Hay un ambiente social todos los días y pienso que por eso la gente está de tan buen humor–son amables y divertidas. Siempre les darán la bienvenida con su lindo saludo “Bon Bini”.

Los Curazoleños de hecho hablan varios idiomas– el papiamento, (una lengua criolla cuyo léxico procede del español, mezclado con portugués, indígena arahuaca y africano), además hablan neerlandés, el inglés y el español. Curaçao es un territorio autónomo del Reino de los Países Bajos pero hasta el 2010 fue una antigua colonia holandesa y una de las islas integrantes de las Antillas Neerlandesas.
En el mes de Septiembre, Curaçao celebrará el North Sea Jazz Festival en el World Trade Center que no se lo deben de perder ya que cuenta con la presencia de celebres artistas:

Breathtaking, multicultural and cosmopolitan, the island of Cura̤ao, located in the southern Caribbean near the coast of Venezuela is a great place for a Caribbean vacation for the whole family. Here you can discover a diverse culture and colorful architecture very different from other Caribbean islandsРa charming Dutch and Caribbean fusion.
There are about 35 beautiful beaches on Curaçao. Many are private and rustic with impressive crystal-clear waters and others typical Caribbean white sandy beaches, but there’s more beyond the beaches. You’ll find plenty of action for nature lovers –from aquatic adventures, submarine rides, diving, swimming with dolphins, and venturing along trails and even caves. You will also find numerous museums, forts, plantations, vineyards and even a medicinal herbs botanical garden.

The European-style, picturesque capital Willemstad was listed as World Heritage by UNESCO. Here you will discover a distinctive floating bridge connecting the two cities–Punda and Otrobanda where you can enjoy duty free shops for your purchases of jewelry, electronics and perfumes.

One of the best views of Curaçao can be enjoyed from Hotel Otrobanda’s La Bahia restaurant where you’ll feel like you’re in the Netherlands, but the warm Caribbean breezes will give you a totally different experience…
There are also casinos for those that like to try their luck, as well as restaurants for all tastes and budgets.
Its vibrant nightlife is lively and diverse-from Latin music, jazz and “ritmo” (a mix of merengue, salsa and soca, European and international music). There is something for everyone– from chic nightclubs, fun Dutch bars and beachfront hangouts. Curaçaons definitely know how to party! There is a big social scene here and I think that’s why people are in such good humor. You’ll always be greeted by a cheerful “Bon Bini”.

Cura̤aoans actually speak several languageРPapiamentu (a creole language is a mixture of Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, English, French, and it also has some Arawak Indian and African influence), they also speak Dutch, English and Spanish. Cura̤ao is an autonomous territory of the Kingdom of the Netherlands but until 2010 it was a former Dutch colony and one of the members of the Netherlands Antilles islands.
