Latina Travel Blogger gets her American Dream

By: Nancy Esteves

Stephanie Be, a California girl and UCLA Alumni, traded corporate America to literally take on the world. She bought a one-way ticket to Sydney and 40 countries later, the world became her office. Her award winning travel blog, Travel-break.net focuses on adventure, culture, motivation and lifestyle which she ties together with new media including Snapchat (username TravelBreak).

“I’ve always wanted to share my story as a first-generation Latina-American …how I started my own business just like my grand-mother and father and how it’s allowed me to travel the world,” she says.

Her grandmother started her own house-keeping business when she moved to the U.S. from Mexico, and her dad started his own contracting company. She was the first person in her family to go to a four-year university and attributes her success to her family’s example.

“If they could accomplish so much, with such little opportunities, how much more could I take on with so many resources? I could take on the world! So I did,” she says.
