“Seguimos trabajando con el mismo corazón de siempre”

Mucho ha pasado en la carrera de Angelique Boyer desde aquel famoso papel protagónico que la catapultó a la fama internacional en 2011, con “Teresa”, en donde su histrionismo para el drama quedó más que consolidado. Siendo una de las figuras más queridas de la televisión hispana, hoy día, la francesa nacionalizada mexicana, ha sabido mantenerse vigente con nuevas propuestas y formatos en los que deslumbra. En un encuentro con nuestro querido Federico Díaz, Angelique habló de sus sueños y proyectos en exclusiva para Hola Latinos Magazine y Vida Pop TV.

¿Qué viene en tu carrera? Tu público te ha visto en todas las facetas en tanto tiempo al aire, ¿con qué viene Angelique Boyer?

Pues ahora viene un gran final, en el mes de Marzo, van a poder ver el final de “Amar a muerte”, que ha sido un proyecto que viene a ser un nuevo parte aguas en mi carrera, es un formato más de cine, así que me obligó a conocer cosas que llevaba 22 años sin hacer, y fue totalmente distinta la forma de trabajar, un equipo nuevo, la dirección, el elenco genial, y creo que hemos tocado la fibra del público de una manera muy distinta a los proyectos que había hecho anteriormente, siempre creo que el éxito es un trabajo de equipo, no es individual y de esa manera es que hemos llegado a cautivar con esta historia de “Amar a muerte” que es completamente distinta a la novela convencional, tiene mucho que ver con esta parte esotérica, de creer que hay más allá de la muerte, o que uno puede reencarnar, transmigrar, cómo puede haber señales de la muerte y pues es lo que me encanta de esta historia que te invita a vivir mejor la vida, a aprovechar esas segundas oportunidades.

Ciertamente en estos formatos donde prevalece el ojo agudo de un editor, en este caso un editor de cine, puede lucirse mucho más el artista en su personaje…

¡Totalmente! Y también creo que estamos en una era donde la televisión está cambiando, porque la tecnología está evolucionando. Realmente la mano de obra sigue siendo con el mismo talento y el mismo corazón de siempre, pero sí, la maquila es distinta y de esa manera pues el formato se vuelve de otra manera ¿no? Pero seguimos trabajando con el mismo corazón de siempre, eso quiero recalcarlo, porque no es que estemos haciendo el hilo negro o intentando algo distinto, simplemente estamos haciendo lo  mismo de siempre, con una calidad distinta y creo que también somos muchos más abiertos a temas que antes estaban muy estereotipados y que no podías hablar de eso, ahora sí, ahora hay que contar historias de amor no importa cuál sea tu preferencia, ahora hay un gran boom con las juliantinas, hay un gran boom con esta parte de tener amantes, entonces creo que la gente se identifica más con personajes más reales,   que tengan defectos y virtudes y que podamos aprender del ejemplo de los demás en cómo enfrentar los problemas.

¿Qué significa para ti un artista que, con las novelas llegando a tantos países, qué son los latinos que están del otro lado para ti?

¡Tenemos que apapacharlos! Tenemos que recordarles lo bella que es su tradición y sus raíces, que si se aventaron a cruzarse a un país con una cultura completamente distinta, a hablar otro idioma, pues mis respetos y por eso, cada vez que pensamos en la gente que está ahí, pues es darles un apapacho al corazón. Con esta historia de “Amar a muerte” me encantó, porque está hecha por un escritor venezolano, dirigida por colombianos, editada por colombianos-chilenos, realmente mexicanos, ¡hay de todo! Y yo creo que esta parte esotérica y cómo se ha visto la muerte en “Amar a muerte” creo que tiene mucho que ver con la forma cómo se ve la muerte en Latinoamérica en general, entonces esta historia puede como juntar, reagrupar a la familia no importa de qué nacionalidad seas, y nosotros de este lado de México tenemos ese gran compromiso de apapachar a todos los latinos que estén en cualquier parte del mundo, recordarles sus raíces y que se sientan un poco en casa cuando se sienten a ver nuestras historias.

Tienes ya muy sólida tu carrera con el mundo latino, con el mundo de las novelas, ahora con las series, ¿Qué significa para ti la palabra Hollywood? Háblanos un poquito de Estados Unidos, ¿Es una meta?

Personalmente, no. No me veo viviendo en otro país que no sea México. Tal vez sí, pero me gustaría más irme hacia Europa, por el género, más que por ser nacida en Europa, porque igual cuando voy para allá soy una extranjera. Soy muy mexicana, más que el nopal y el habanero, entonces me identifico más con la parte latina en todos los sentidos, y si voy, sería más hacia ese género Europeo.

¿Entonces apuntarías un poco más a Almodóvar, por ejemplo?

Exacto, si me gusta un poco más underground y más dramático, e intenso. Es como mucho más profundo, y yo soy muy intensa, la verdad, muy dramática, toda la vida ¡he sido actriz!

Bueno esta portada va para el mes de Febrero, el mes del amor, ¿qué significa para Angelique la palabra amor?

Pues la verdad que para mí tiene nombre y apellido, en una persona que es una prioridad en mi vida, pero definitivamente el amor tiene que ser hacia todas las personas con quien nos podamos tomar en la calle, creo que tiene que ser una actitud y una manera de defenderse en la vida, con amor, no con agresión, no haciendo diferencias, no con racismo ni ese tipo de cosas que hoy día estamos viviendo como humanidad. Creo también que el amor propio es la base de todo buen camino, hacia donde vayas para querer ayudar a alguien, primero quiérete a ti y después entonces podrás extender tu mano y ayudar a cualquiera. También me parece un poco materialista, y creo que debemos perder esa parte, dejar de ser consumidores y más bien consumirnos entre nosotros, abrazarnos y besarnos más. Yo creo que ese es un mensaje que siempre trato de dar, y además de que, con mi pareja sabemos lo afortunados que somos de tener una relación estable y que lo más importante que tenemos es la paz.

Aparte que ya son 4 años, se les ve muy compenetrados y como con una misma misión en la vida, esto está muy bien. Ahora, ¿la familia? Háblanos de lo que significa esta palabra para ti.

La familia pues mira, ha sido muy controversial esta parte de que yo no quiero tener hijos, y que cómo es posible, se te va a ir el reloj biológico… ¡tengo 30 años, relájense! No tengo prisa, no ha despertado ese instinto en mí, no es algo que pueda adivinar en este momento, pero tampoco me puedo cerrar, no puedo decir que no voy a tener hijos, a lo mejor en 3 años me muera de ganas, tal vez sin esperarlo llega, también puede ser una sorpresa, la cual no sería nada desagradable por supuesto. Pero mi familia es muy reducida, realmente la mayoría está en Francia, en México solo tengo a mi papá, y creo que Sebas y yo compartimos muchos eso, que tenemos a nuestras familias lejos y eso nos hace mucho más unidos. Y su familia siempre ha sido muy acogedora conmigo.

¿Algún proyecto juntos? ¿Se imaginan?

Yo creo que ahorita es complicado, llevamos muchos proyectos juntos. Después de “lo que La vida me robó” nosotros iniciamos nuestra relación, anteriormente habíamos hecho “Teresa” juntos y después hicimos “3 veces Ana” y ya éramos pareja, nunca nos veíamos, pero éramos pareja y la verdad es que fue un ejercicio padrísimo, y todo el mundo nos decía “¿Es difícil trabajar con tu pareja?” ¡No, para nada! De hecho es lo más cool que nos pudo haber pasado. De por sí no ves a tu familia cuando estás en proyecto,  el hecho de tener a tu novio cerca y que pueda entender las cargas de trabajo, es creo que un plus, más que una desventaja. Entonces siempre ha sido muy agradable trabajar con Sebas. De momento yo creo que, también está padrísimo que estemos haciendo cosas individuales, y cada quien… y que él también tenga nuevas parejas, y yo también y aun así el público siga cautivándose con nosotros. Les gusta vernos juntos, pues también están las redes sociales, y no somos de compartir mucho, y eso que lo hacemos bastante, pero no compartimos todo lo mejor, realmente hay cosas que si nos reservamos, y de esa manera también mantenemos una estabilidad en la que no puedan tampoco herirnos, ¿ya sabes? Muchas veces la nota no está basada en algo bueno, si no en algo malo y morboso y nosotros no queremos llegar a eso.

Estuvieron haciendo unas fotos en redes sociales muy creativas…

¡Sí! Los invito a que lo hagan con parejas, con amigos, en el trabajo. Me parece algo muy entretenido. Allí estábamos en una playa que se llama Maroma, que está en la Riviera Maya, cada vez que podemos vamos para allá y disfrutamos de toda la zona.

What´s next in your career? Your audience has seen you in all facets for a good time, what´s coming?

Well now comes a great ending, in the month of March, they will be able to see the end of “Amar a muerte”, which has been a project that has become a new waters part in my career, it is a film format, so it forced me to know things that I had not done for 22 years, and it was totally different the way of working, a new team, the management, the great cast, and I think we have touched the public’s fiber in a very different way than the projects that I had done previously, I always believe that success is a team effort, it is not individual and that is how we have come to captivate with this story of “Amar a muerte” which is completely different from the conventional novel, it has a lot to do with this esoteric part, to believe that there is something beyond death, or that one can reincarnate, transmigrate, how there can be signs of death and that is what I love about this story that invites you to live better life , to take advantage of those second opportunities.

Certainly in these formats where the sharp eye of an editor prevails, in this case a film editor, the artist can show off much more…

Totally! And I also believe that we are in an era where television is changing, because technology is evolving. Really the workforce is still with the same talent and the same heart as always, but yes, the maquila is different and that way because the format becomes otherwise, right? But we continue working with the same heart as always, that I want to emphasize, because it is not that we are doing the black thread or trying something different, we are simply doing the same as always, with a different quality and I think we are also much more open to issues that were very stereotyped before and that you could not talk about it, now you can, now you have to tell love stories no matter what your preference, now there is a big boom with the Juliantinas, there is a big boom with this part of having lovers, So I think that people identify more with even more real characters, that they have defects and virtues and that we can learn from the example of others in how to face problems.

What does means for an artist like you, with the novels reaching so many countries, what are the Latinos who are on the other side for you?

We have to pamper them! We have to remind them how beautiful is their tradition and their roots, if they fanned themselves to cross into a country with a completely different culture, to speak another language, well, my respect and that is why, every time we think about the people who are there , it is to give the heart a pat. With this story of “Amar a muerte” I loved it, because it was made by a Venezuelan writer, directed by Colombians, edited by Colombian-Chilean, really Mexican, there is everything! And I think that this esoteric part and how death has been seen in “Amar a muerte” I think it has a lot to do with the way death looks in Latin America in general, so this story can come together, regroup the family It does not matter what nationality you are, and we, from this side of Mexico, have that great commitment to help all Latinos who are anywhere in the world, to remember their roots and feel a little at home when they sit down to see our stories. .

You already have a very solid career on the Latin world, with the world of novels, now with the series, What does the word Hollywood means to you? Tell us a little about the United States, is it a goal?

Personally, no. I do not see myself living in a country other than Mexico. Maybe I do, but I would like to go to Europe, because of the formats, rather than being born in Europe, because even when I go there, I am a foreigner. I am very Mexican, more than the cactus and the habanero, so I identify more with the Latin part in all the senses, and if I go, I would be more towards that European format.

So would you aim a little more at Almodovar, for example?

Exactly, I like a little more underground and more dramatic, and intense. It is as much deeper, and I am very intense, the truth, very dramatic, all my life I have been an actress!

Well this cover goes for  February, the month of love, what does the word love mean to Angelique?

Well the truth is that for me has a name and surname, in a person that is a priority in my life, but definitely love has to be towards all the people with whom we can take in the street, I think it has to be an attitude and a way to defend yourself in life, with love, not with aggression, not making differences, not with racism or the kind of things that we are living as humanity today. I also believe that self-love is the basis of any good path, where you go to want to help someone, first love yourself and then you can reach out and help anyone. It also seems a little materialistic, and I think we should lose that part, stop being consumers and rather consume ourselves, hug and kiss more. I believe that this is a message that I always try to give, and besides that, with my partner we know how lucky we are to have a stable relationship and that the most important thing we have is peace.

Apart from the fact that you have already 4 years together, you are very well-blended and with the same mission in life, this is very good. Now, the family? Tell us what this word means to you.

The family, it has been very controversial this part of that I do not want to have children, and that how is possible, you are going to lose your biological clock … I am 30 years old, relax! I’m not in a hurry, it has not aroused that instinct in me, it’s not something I can guess at the moment, but I cannot close my mind either, I cannot say I’m not going to have children, maybe in 3 years I’ll die for one, it can also be a surprise, which would not be unpleasant of course. But my family is very small, really the majority is in France, in Mexico I only have my father, and I think Sebas and I share many that…that we have our families away and that makes us much closer. And his family has always been very welcoming to me.

Any project together? Can you imagine?

I believe that right now it is complicated, we have many projects together. After “Lo que la vida me robó” we started our relationship, we had previously done “Teresa” together and then we did “3 veces Ana” and we were already a couple, we never saw each other, but we were a couple and the truth is that it was the most beautiful exercise, and everyone told us “Is it difficult to work with your partner?” No, not at all! In fact it is the coolest thing that could have happened to us. In itself you do not see your family when you are in the project, the fact of having your boyfriend close and you can understand the workloads, is I think, a plus, rather than a disadvantage. So it has always been very nice to work with Sebas. At the moment I think that it is also great that we are doing individual things… and that he also has new partners, as I do too, and still the public continues captivating us. They like to see us together, because there are also social media, and we are not sharing much, and even when we do that a lot, but we do not share all the best, there are really things that we reserve, and in that way we also maintain stability in that they cannot hurt us either, you know? Many times the note is not based on something good, but on something bad and morbid and we do not want to get there.

You were doing some photos on a very creative way in social media …

Yes! I invite you to do it with couples, with friends, at work. I find it very entertaining. There we were on a beach called Maroma, which is in the Riviera Maya, whenever we can we go there and enjoy the whole area.
