Su gran éxito en las telenovelas

La talentosa y simpática actriz Cubana, Livia Brito, protagonista de la telenovela “De Que Te Quiero, Te Quiero” y anteriormente la co-protagonista de las novelas populares, ‘Abismo de pasión’ (Paloma) y ‘Triunfo del amor’ (Fernanda), está triunfando a pasos gigantescos.
Por dos años consecutivo (2012 y 2013), Brito se ha llevado el premio de la MEJOR ACTRIZ JUVENIL de TV y Novelas, ha actuado en diversas películas, y ahora se integra al elenco de “Bailando por un sueño”, reality show de Televisa.
Brito nació en Cuba y se mudo con sus padres a México cuando era una adolecente y fue en México donde comenzó su carrera de actriz la cual según ella “le ha echado muchas ganas”.
En exclusiva con Livia Brito:
-Livia, tu carrera ha vivido una gran explosión en tan corto tiempo ¿Como fue el proceso para que obtuvieras el papel protagónico de Natalia García?
Livia Brito: La propuesta me llego directa de la productora Lucero Suárez quien me propuso el personaje de Natalia García, me encanto la historio de Natalia y el personaje porque es un niña que refleja mucho de lo que es Livia Brito, de no dejarse intimidar por las cosas que pasen o por las circunstancias de la vida ya que se pueden presentar muchísimos retos y oportunidades y hay que saber tomarlas. A Natalia le pasaron muchísimas cosas. La trataban mal, le hacían maldades y en la vida real pasan cosas parecidas. No hay que dejarse llevar por eso, hay que poner una sonrisa y echarle ganas a la vida.
– ¿Cual ha sido tu novela más exitosa, en cual te destacaste más y te hiciste conocer?
LB: Todas las novelas han tenido afortunadamente mucho éxito, pero el “Triunfo del Amor” fue una telenovela que yo creo marco una pauta a las 9 de la noche con muchísimos ratings; “El Abismo de Pasión” fue otra que rompió ratings a las 9 de la noche y “De Que Te Quiero, Te Quiero” tuvo mucho éxito y ratings y en los EE.UU. Rompió records la primera semana del estreno.
-¿Cual ha sido tu papel más curioso o difícil?
LB: El papel de Fernanda en sillón de rueda fue difícil porque empezó como una niña caprichosa y su personaje fue creciendo e incrementando en melodrama, en historia de amor y fue evolucionado y llego a ser una niña súper linda.
-¿Que se necesita hoy en día para ser una actriz destacada en la industria?
LB: Es difícil porque es muy competitivo pero lo que hay que hacer para mantener el trabajo es tener puntualidad, ser una persona profesional, todo el tiempo estar al pie del cañón, siempre estar aprendiendo cosas nuevas. No quedarse atrás, eso es primordial para cualquier carrera no solo para la de actuación. Hay que mantenerse actualizado/a.
-¿Hay un Brito más trabajando en esta producción, cuéntanos que tal es tener un papá en casa y en la novela?
LB: Súper bien es muy lindo trabajar con mi papá, me siento orgullosa de él, es un personaje hermoso, papá Juancho me daba consejos como en la vida real, ahora sé que todo lo que pasa en las telenovelas no puede ser la mera coincidencia.
-¿Te sientes mexicana o cubana?
LB: me siento de las dos cosas, donde naciste nunca se olvida, es como tus raíces, pero México me dio una educación y me recibió con las puertas abiertas. Me siento cuba-mejicana. (Risas)
¿Cuál es tu comida cubana favorita?
LB: Me encanta la comida cubana…me fascinan los frijoles, el congrí y los platanitos.
Sus próximos proyectos:
La película “Volando Bajo” que ya está saliendo en el cine y “La Verdad Sospechosa” y voy próximamente a filmar una que se llama “Mas Allá de las Apariencias”.

Her Triumphs in Telenovelas
The talented and congenial Cuban actress, Livia Brito, who plays a leading role in the soap opera “De Que Te Quiero, Te Quiero” and who previously co-starred in the popular “Abismo de Pasion” (as Paloma) and “Triunfo del Amor” (as Fernanda), is taking the telenovela industry by storm.
For two consecutive years (2012 and 2013), Brito was awarded “Best Young Leading Actress” by TV y Novelas, she has acted in movies, and now joins the cast of ” Bailando por un Sueño (Dancing for a Dream),” a reality show produced by Televisa Network.
Brito was born in Cuba and moved to Mexico with her parents when she was a teenager where she began her acting career and is “giving it her all,” she says.
Exclusive with Livia Brito (translated version):
– Livia, your career has seen a huge explosion in a short period of time. How did you manage to get the leading role of Natalia Garcia in the telenovela?
Livia Brito: The producer of the show, Lucero Suarez, directly contacted me and offered me the role. I loved Natalia’s character because she reflects much of who Livia Brito is all about–not intimidated by things that happen or by circumstances in life… because life can present many challenges and opportunities, and we must learn to deal with them. A lot of things happened to Natalia, they treated her badly…bad things happened to her just like in real life. But you have to learn how to put on a smile and move forward.
– What has been your most successful soap opera, the one that made you become known in the industry?
LB: All the telenovelas I have worked on have fortunately been very successful, but “Triunfo del Amor” was a soap opera that broke record ratings at 9 p.m., “Abismo de Pasion” was another one that broke records and the most recent “De Que te Quiero, Te quiero” was a huge success, also broke records in the U.S. the first week of its release.
– What has been your most interesting or challenging role?
LB: The role of Fernanda in a wheel chair was difficult because she started off as a whimsical girl and her character kept growing and increasing in melodrama, as a love story, and evolved until she became a really nice girl.
– What does it take to become a leading actress in the industry today?
LB: It’s hard because it’s competitive… but to keep a job you have to be punctual, be professional, all the time on top of your game, always learning new things and not staying behind…this goes for any career. You have to keep up with what’s happening.
– Is there another Brito working in this production? Tell us what it’s like to have a dad at home and at work?
LB: It’s great to work with my father, I feel proud of him, it’s a beautiful character, Papa Juancho, and he gives me advice just like in real life.
Do you feel Cuban or Mexican?
LB: I feel like both, where I was born is never forgotten, it’s your roots, but Mexico gave me an education and welcomed me with open arms. I am Cuban-Mexican. (Laughter)
What is your favorite Cuban food?
LB: I love Cuban food … I am fascinated by the beans, the Congri (rice & black beans mixed) and the fried plantains.

The Film: “Volando Bajo (Flying Low)” is already out in cinemas, “La Verdad Sospechosa (Suspicious Truth) ” and soon I’m going to film one called “Mas Allá de la Apariencias (Beyond Appearances) “.
